Unfinished
I was organising my files recently and came across an image I started 3 years ago but never completed. I was practising using dodge and burn tools to shade as well as trying to create my first digital painting or lineless drawing, all done on one layer. It took 5 hours and to this day has remained unfinished. Hopefully one day I can find time to complete it.

Awareness Poster Part 2
After not receiving any confirmation from Conway Campus, my tutor and I discussed it and decided on the best design for the poster. I have been developing the design for the past few days. Building up the character designs to portray people both staff and students can relate too. Here is where I am to currently:

Awareness Poster Ideas
Conway Campus have recently asked students of the art department if they could design an awareness poster to high light that the lifts are intended to aid disabled students/staff and that other staff and students should be utilising the stairs. I sketched up some ideas for the poster design and emailed them to the staff in charge of the project.

Character Design
This was a project from last year exploring character design. I was given 3 words to describe each character I had to design. I enjoyed this project as it gave me a chance to explore my imagination and develop my drawing style.

First Live Brief!
As part of this years
module I was tasked with finding briefs to work from, be it from a competition,
a company or an individual client. This assignment is to help expand my
knowledge of the illustration industry and develop my portfolio.
Over the summer I was
lucky enough to get in contact with a local author, Ron Kenyon, who was looking
for an illustrator to design his next book cover. We had a meeting and I showed
him some of my work, we discussed the design and arranged to meet two weeks
later when I would show him my rough sketches. During our second meeting I
showed him the sketches and an image I had refined a little further to give him
more of an idea of the end result. Mr Kenyon loved the design and suggested a
few minor changes to font size and composition.
Here is the finished piece:
